En-Suite Bathroom Renovation
2024
Cornwall
We thoroughly enjoyed transforming this ensuite bathroom. We began by removing the classic P-shaped bath and installing a freestanding bath with a floor-mounted tap. This choice not only adds a sophisticated and modern touch but also enhances the overall spatial feel of the room. Despite not being the longest bath, its depth offers a spacious and luxurious soaking experience.
Here's a breakdown of the work carried out to achieve this transformation:
Ceiling and Coving
We installed a new ceiling and removed the old coving, giving the bathroom a more contemporary look.
Electrical Work
We relocated the light switch and fan isolator to the outside of the bathroom for a cleaner and more streamlined appearance.
Tiling
We installed large porcelain plank tiles on the walls, which were finished with Manhattan grey grout—creating a sleek and cohesive look.
To complement the walls, we added an up-stand around the perimeter of the room, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
We also finished off the transformation by tiling the window sill to ensure every detail complements the overall design.
Overall, the new freestanding bath, accompanied by modern fixtures and finishes, has truly revitalised the ensuite. The bath’s depth and luxurious look promise a relaxing soak, while the modern touches create a fresh, inviting space. The wall tiling, in particular, ties everything together, lending a sense of unity and sophistication tohe room.
